General Information & Enrolment
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year (excluding public holidays).
What is your enrolment process?
Once you decide to join us, we’ll provide an enrolment pack, help you complete forms, and set up your CCS details. We’ll also arrange an orientation to help your child settle in.
How will you support my child’s transition and separation anxiety?
Our educators work closely with families, offering gradual orientation and comfort strategies to ease separation.
Do you offer tours, and how do I book one?
Yes. We encourage all families to tour the centre before making a decision. During the tour, you can view our learning environments, meet educators, and ask questions about programs, safety, and enrolment.
What should I expect during an Orientation?
We provide a personalised orientation program to make the transition smooth and positive for both children and families. Our goal is to build trust, familiarity, and comfort before your child’s first official day.
Orientation may include:
– Short visits to the centre so your child can explore their new environment.
– Meet-and-greets with educators to begin building relationships.
– Flexible transition plans tailored to your child’s individual needs and comfort level.
– Opportunities for families to ask questions, share routines, and discuss any concerns.
How do you support children settling in, especially first-timers?
We offer flexible orientation sessions where families can stay and participate. Our educators focus on building trust and relationships, so children feel secure.

Fees & Subsidies

What is included in the daily fee?
Our service is all-inclusive, so families don’t have to worry about extra costs. Daily fees cover:
– 5 Well balanced meals and snacks
– Nappies, wipes, and sunscreen
– Extracurricular activities such as sports, cooking, yoga, and languages
– Educational programs including reading eggs, Prep School workbook, sustainability, STEM, and school readiness
How do I pay my fees?
At Lead Early Learning Centres, fees are charged on a fortnightly basis in advance. Families receive a statement fortnightly Monday, with charges processed that Monday.
Who do I contact if I have questions about my account or payments?
Please contact our administrative accounts officer or the Approved Provider directly for assistance.
How do fees and the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) work?
Lead Early Learning Centres are CCS-approved services. This means families may be eligible for government fee support, depending on your income and activity hours. Our team is happy to help you estimate your out-of-pocket costs and guide you through the CCS process. We also offer an online Cost Estimator for quick calculations.
How do I apply for Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?
Families can apply for the Child Care Subsidy through Services Australia. You can find full details on their website: Child Care Subsidy – Services Australia. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/child-care-subsidy
Why doesn’t CCS cover all my days of care?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is means-tested and based on family income, activity levels, and hourly rate caps. This means families need to cover a gap fee for hours not subsidise.
Daily Care
What meals are provided, and do you cater for allergies?
We are a Nut Aware service and take allergies very seriously. All meals, and snacks are provided and meet children’s nutritional needs. Allergy management plans are created for individual children as needed, and our educators are trained in Allergy and Anaphylaxis management.
What does my child need to bring each day?
At Lead Early Learning Centres, we provide almost everything your child needs for the day — including nutritious meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, and sunscreen.
For hygiene and comfort, we ask families to supply:
– A clearly labelled water bottle
– Bedding
– Hat
– Formula (If needed)
– 2-3 spare changes of clothes (as play and exploration can get messy)
– Any comfort items (such as a favourite toy, blanket, or dummy) to help your child settle, especially at rest time.
We encourage families to label all items with their child’s name to prevent loss.
How do you manage sleep/rest time routines?
Children’s individual sleep routines are respected. We provide safe sleeping environments in line with Red Nose guidelines.
What is included in your daily routine?
Each day balances structured learning and play-based exploration. Children enjoy mealtimes, rest times, indoor and outdoor play, and group activities. Our routine is flexible to meet children’s needs while supporting their growth and development.
What if my child is sick or absent, what’s the policy?
If your child is unwell, please notify us by 10:30am. Absences are still charged, but you may be eligible for CCS provided you have not exceeded the 42 Absent days allowances (including Public Holiday days).
How do you handle special events, birthdays, and celebrations?
We celebrate birthdays and cultural events inclusively. For allergy safety, we ask families to avoid bringing outside food unless arranged with management.

Learning Programs & Support

What programs or curriculum do you follow?
We follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and offer a rich, play-based program that supports early literacy, numeracy, STEM, sustainability, creativity, and school readiness.
What is the Reggio Emilia approach?
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which sees children as capable, curious learners. Educators support hands-on exploration, creativity, and independence, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and emotional security.
Do you support children with additional needs or disabilities?
Yes. At Lead Early Learning Centres, we are committed to inclusive practices. Every child is valued as an individual, and we work in partnership with families and support services to ensure each child can fully participate. Our educators adapt routines, environments, and learning experiences to meet different abilities, strengths, and needs.
We also work closely with external support agencies (such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early intervention specialists) to create consistent strategies between home, therapy, and the centre. This collaboration helps achieve the best outcomes for each child.
What qualifications do your Educators have?
Our educators are experienced, caring professionals with formal qualifications in Early Childhood Education. Depending on their role, our team members may hold a Certificate III, Diploma, or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care.
All educators maintain current First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection training. Our School Readiness Program is delivered by Early Childhood Educators who specialise in preparing children for a smooth transition to primary school.
We are committed to the ongoing professional development of our team, ensuring our educators stay current with the latest best practices and regulations.
